The fact of the matter is, no matter how wonderful a time I have with my son on the days I’m blessed to have him, there always comes the moment where I have to let him go. I have had a wonderful time this Mother’s Day weekend. Atticus gave me beautiful flowers, we vegged, slept as much as we wanted or needed, we snuggled, we read, we watched movies, and had the obligatory you WILL eat your dinner moments. He built this cabin in the middle of the living room floor… right in the walkway. I find it quite creative. …
I spent a beautiful afternoon at Providence State Park with my mother, son, and my best friend’s family. Providence Canyon was formed through bad farming practices starting about a century ago. Erosion cut through the Georgia clay creating this beauty of man’s mistakes. Later they planted kudzu to stop the erosion, marking another mistake. Thankfully, in February the kudzu is leafless and not blocking the view.
One of my hangouts. This was the first time I walked by without any cars parked anywhere so I decided to immortalize it. It’s kind of a fixture in town.
While I was shooting the ice on my window, I liked the lines of the large snow drift behind my house. This is shot through the kitchen window (and ice patterns) which is what kind of gives it a light mottled effect… almost like an old polaroid print.
