About Me.
Mary Virginia Hall is an art photographer living 300 miles above the arctic circle in Barrow, AK. She was born and raised in the deep South and always enjoyed photography as a hobby, but it wasn’t until her move to Alaska in 2006 that her natural inclination evolved into a full-blown obsession. She now divides her time between raising her son and documenting life in a remote arctic village: the land, culture, and her emotional response to her surroundings.
